Public BBQ

A recently rebuilt playground at Glandore, themed with bird houses, with a big new slide reached through a rope tunnel that is awkward enough to defeat some children - and the slide itself is for under-twelves. Around it are a pump track, a basketball hoop, a table tennis table, a barbecue, undercover tables and a gazebo, with footpaths through the park that children can ride on and a good scooter loop around the playground. The community centre does affordable coffee and cake on Saturdays, halls can be hired and outdoor yoga runs at times. Two real criticisms: the concrete bike track has humps set too close and too steep, with a sheer drop onto the concrete border, and there is now almost nothing for toddlers. The barbecue seating has no shade over it, so you cook in full sun. Toilet hours are limited.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Marion council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Marion council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
